Bettye LaVette - Thankful N'Thoughtful

September 25, 2012, Bettye LaVette celebrates her 50th anniversary in the music business with the release of her new album,"Thankful N' Thoughtful", on ANTI- Records - as well as the publication of her long-time-coming book, variously described as 'engrosing', 'riviting', 'hair-raising' and only suitable for over 18s - the tell-it-like-it-is autobiography: "A Woman Like Me".

"Thankful N' Thoughtful" turned out to be a companion piece to her autobiography as while she was writing the book, she was also recording the songs.
